Did you know we only have 3 breeding females!? How many does that other breeder have?
* Is it the countless hours we put into our puppies?
* Perhaps it's the amount of research we do in order to provide the best up-to-date training possible for their development?
* Or MAYBE the reason is that the puppies are raised right here in our home, being introduced to new sights, sounds and smells every day?
* Is it the fact that their parents receive the best health and genetic testing available to ensure puppies don't inherit breed specific diseases?
We'll let you decide!

The above video shows our weaning pen. Designated areas for sleeping, eating, playing and going potty. Puppies are using the doggy door with ease by 5 weeks of age and begin using the indoor potty area less and less.
Our puppies are handled shortly after birth, weighed, identified and then LOVED ON! We believe that early interaction is key to a successful companion dog. It helps to develop that animal to human bond as they learn to trust and enjoy the company of "us" two legged beings. They are born and raised in our home, under-foot of myself, my husband and our five children. They are also raised around dozens of chickens, ducks and turkey; as well as goats, cats and other dogs! They will experience water play and country livin' at it's best here on our homestead.
We start off with health tested and certified parents! Hips and elbows are examined and certified free of degenerative bone diseases and dysplasia by X-Rays submitted to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) as well as PennHip. They are also genetically tested using DNA samples through Embark, to rule out any inheritable skin, eye, heart and neurological diseases. Patellas are examined to be sure there aren't deformities. Eye's are given a thorough check up to eliminate the possibility of hereditary cataracts and extensive blood tests are performed to rule out any thyroid, liver or organ imperfections!
Starting within the first week of life our puppies are put through a series of bio-sensory exercises that help "jump-start" their nervous system. This specific type of stimulation signals parts of the brain to start "working" that otherwise wouldn't naturally occur and it gives them a HUGE jump into puppyhood!
"The U.S. military did studies on raising puppies and they found that doing these certain exercises with puppies during the time of rapid neurological growth, between the puppies third and sixteenth day of life would increase the pups performance in later life. They created a program called the Bio Sensor program consisting of 5 exercises to be done once a day with the pups. They found that not only were puppies able to cope more with stressful situations, and problem solve better than other puppies, but that they were actually physically healthier with higher cardiovascular performance, stronger immune systems, adrenal glands and heart beats!" <-----------AMAZING!
Being a dog trainer/behaviorist, groomer and vet student I understand the importance of a well socialized dog! So after the 16th day of life the puppies begin environmental enrichment, where they are introduced to several new sounds, sights, smells and textures every day! This helps to ensure they are not a nervous dog. It also minimizes separation anxiety and teaches the puppies ways to self-soothe. They are raised on Jane Killion's Puppy Culture; which is a lengthy series of exercises and techniques that fine tune many canine skills and prevent a lot of common, less-than-desirable behavior. We continue working with our puppies until they go to their new homes. We cuddle, groom, bathe, sing and sometimes even dance ;) I want for my puppies to have experienced many strange and unusual scenarios so that they are better equipped for life in their new home. They will have a strong ability to adjust and accept all things that come their way, whether it be babies, older children, other pets, loud households, calm or crazy environments...they will be ready to adapt. Before placing a deposit you will schedule a phone call or FaceTime chat to discuss your needs and wants for you new furry best friend. During the last week of your puppy's stay, we will personalize our training regime toward how you want your puppy to perform! Now that's a personalized experience! Oh, and we offer LIFETIME training support, so any issues you're having, let us know! We will do our best to give our professional insight to aid in eliminating those unwanted issues!
Before puppies go to their new homes they will have been P.A.T Tested. This is a series of personality tests that help determine the puppies strong and weak points. It gives us great insight on the best training techniques for each individual puppy as well as any areas that may need fine tuned.
Our puppies will also be introduced to crate training, as well as basic obedience, clicker training and house training and you'll go home with your very own Puppy Training Packet to continue the training at home! Want even more out of your puppy? Enroll them in an approved training facility and we'll credit you $50 to cover some of the cost of the program!
We love our puppies and we know you will too!
